Agricultural important schemes
1) Agricultural Machinery :-
* Commencement of half year plan for 2014-15
* Agricultural machinery rental based service center
* Timely, transparent, low rental rates for farmers, land preparation, sowing equipment, harvest processing machinery started in 175 hoblis.
*Establishment of 433 centers from 2014-15 to 2017-18 with a grant of Rs.17137.56 lakhs.

2) National Food Security Mission (NFSM)
*Started in 2007-08 during the 11th Five Year Plan period.
*This is a Central Government sponsored program which was inaugurated in October 2007.
*This was also continued in the 12th Five Year Plan.
*This is related to 5 cultivation. Includes NFSM - rice NFSM - wheat, NFSM - pulses NFSM - cash crops such as cotton and sugarcane NFSM - coarse grains.
*These schemes have been implemented in Karnataka in the year 2018-19 as well.
*The objective is to increase the production of food grains
*A program of Rs 18967.19 lakhs in 2018-19 for the project.

3) National Agricultural Development Scheme (RKVY)
* 11th Five Year Plan 2007-12 A plan formulated with the main objective of achieving an annual growth rate of 4% in the primary sector of agriculture & allied activities of the country.
*It is an agriculture related scheme developed in the state with additional assistance from the central government.
* Central Government launched in 2007-08 for comprehensive agricultural development and revitalization.
*The objective of this scheme is to encourage states to invest public investment in agriculture and allied sectors.
*Reducing the yield gap of major crops, increasing the base of agriculture and ancillary activities.

4) National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture(NMSA)
*This scheme was launched by the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India for the year 2014-15 to increase production in rainfed areas.
*)Resource conservation, water efficiency and soil health management are the objectives of this project
* Intention to implement integrated farming system
*More Crop Per - Drop:- Use of water resources through efficient water management to achieve agricultural progress and widen the scope.
