Pacific Ocean

The Pacific Ocean is the largest ocean on Earth. The Pacific ocean is known as the calm ocean. The Pacific Ocean was named after - Portuguese navigator Ferdinand Magellan. This ocean stretches between the Arctic in the north and the Indian Ocean in the south. It contains 46% of water on Earth.

Countries & bordering :-

To the west of the Pacific Ocean lies the continent of Asia and Australia and to the east is the continent of America. The equator divides the Pacific Ocean into the North Pacific and the South Pacific.

The deepest place in this ocean is : Marina Trench.

Atlantic Ocean

The Atlantic Ocean is the 2nd largest ocean. This ocean is S shaped. It contains 29% of the total water mass. The "Milwaukee Trough" is the deepest trough in the Atlantic Ocean. At this depth of 8,380 m, the most important water rocks "A22 A" are found in this ocean.

Countries & bordering :

To the east of this ocean are the continents of Europe and Africa. To the west lies the Americas. This ocean meets the Arctic Ocean to the north, the Pacific Ocean to the southwest, the Indian Ocean to the southeast, and the Antarctic Ocean to the south. This ocean connects all the oceans globally.

Antarctica Ocean

The Antarctic Ocean is known as the Southern Ocean. This ocean starts from 60 degree south latitude in a circle and runs up to the Tropics. This ocean is geologically the youngest ocean and the deepest region in this ocean is the "South Sandwich Trench". The temperature here ranges from -2 degree to 10 Celsius.

Arctic Ocean

The Arctic Ocean is the smallest and least deep of the world's oceans. This ocean is found in the Northern Hemisphere at the North Pole. This ocean surrounds Eurasia and North America. Greenland and some Islands are found in this part.

Indian Ocean

Indian Ocean is the 3rd largest ocean. This ocean contains 20% of the total water mass. To the north of this ocean is the continent of Asia, to the west is the continent of Africa, to the east is the continent of Australia, to the south is the continent of Antarctica. Rivers Indus, Ganga, Brahmaputra flow into this ocean. This ocean contains 20% of the total water mass.
